Job description:
The Operations Manager is responsible for leading plant operations to achieve excellence in safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost. This role drives continuous improvement, develops leadership talent, and ensures alignment with business and customer objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and promote a strong safety culture; ensure compliance with all safety requirements
- Drive operational performance across OEE, quality, delivery, productivity, and profitability
- Improve manufacturing planning, execution, and shop floor discipline
- Lead lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, WIP, and cycle time
- Develop, coach, and lead supervisors and team leaders
- Own departmental budgets and drive cost-reduction initiatives
- Conduct capacity analysis and implement standard work
- Partner with engineering to improve processes, quality, and throughput
- Maintain strong customer relationships and delivery performance
- Communicate goals, performance metrics, and expectations throughout the organization
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 7 years of manufacturing experience with 5 years in leadership
- or
- 3 years of leadership
- Authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship)Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Investment casting or similar manufacturing experience
- Strong leadership, analytical, and financial skills
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement tools
