Laminator will perform laminating operations using hot and cold press processes. In addition to lamination, the job includes material preparation, routing, and assembly of components for lamination.
Hours: 10:30pm-6:30am Sunday through Thursday
Key Responsibilities:
- Build panels using skins, core, frames, rails and other components.
- Load and unload panels from press.
- Inspect and prepare press platens for next operation.
- Prepare skins & core according to process specifications, PQR, Travelers, and BOM (Bill of Material).
- Read and interrupt technical drawings and schedules.
- Read work orders, apply materials, and follow instructions per the electronic data system.
- Is able to calculate pressure for operation for a given press.
- Perform testing on adhesive per process specifications.
- Inspect finished product for appearance, alignment and bonding.
- Completes necessary paperwork, maintains detailed notes and fills out all logs.
- Fill out defect/NCMR data in the electronic data system.
- Assist other departments as necessary.
- Provide the customer with the best value including Cost, Quality, and Delivery.
- Participate in improving our product, processes, equipment, and methods.
- Handle internal and external questions in a prompt professional manner.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment at all times and continually improves 5S.
- Continually look for ways to improve job efficiency and performance.
- Performs all reasonably related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Mechanically inclined
- Ability to work overtime.
