Position Summary
The Bagger Operator is responsible for operating automated bagging equipment to package snack products efficiently, safely, and according to company quality standards. This role plays a key part in ensuring product consistency, accuracy, and on-time fulfillment of customer orders.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate, monitor, and adjust bagging machines to package snack products.
• Ensure proper weights, seals, labels, and codes on all finished products.
• Perform machine changeovers for different products and bag sizes.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and escalate when needed.
• Conduct quality checks, including product weights, packaging integrity, and labeling accuracy.
• Maintain accurate counts and documentation of packaged products.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety, and OSHA requirements at all times.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
• Collaborate with team members, machine operators, and material handlers to maintain efficient workflow.
• Assist with palletizing, stacking, and moving finished product when needed.
• Participate in safety meetings and required training.
Qualifications
• Previous experience in manufacturing, food production, or machine operation a plus.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motion.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced food production environment with moderate noise.
