Training is required on first shift for 2-4 weeks. Hours are 6am-2:30pm M-F.
Second shift hours are 2pm-10:30pm, M-F plus any OT.
Operators are primarily responsible for material handling, quality checks, and housekeeping activities related to presses, equipment, and products within their assigned area. Operators may be assigned to work on more than one press during each shift and are expected to balance the needs of machine according to operational priorities established by the Supervisor.
Job Duties:
- Operating machines
- Maintaining production efficiency and product quality
- Conducting appropriate preventative maintenance and safety checks to ensure equipment is properly maintained.
- Monitoring and maintaining oil and coolant levels
- Loading raw materials
- Cleaning and disposing of scrap material
- Using hilo as needed
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred manufacturing experience
- Familiarity with measuring instruments
- calipers
- go/no go gauges
- point mics
- micrometers
- Regularly lift and move up to 35-50 lbs.
- Attention to detail
- Ability to use a computer
- Ability to work periodic overtime, including weekends, if requested.
